Our Journey: A Life on the Road
In a world where the road less traveled often leads to the most extraordinary experiences, we decided to take that road, quite literally. What started as a shared dream of freedom and exploration has now become our reality. We’re Sheyla and Jason, full-time digital nomads living out of a self-converted school bus, Condor, roaming the open roads of the USA, and beyond.
Our journey began with a desire for something different, something more than the daily grind. We wanted to see the world, to feel the pulse of life in places both familiar and foreign. But we didn’t want to just visit, we wanted to immerse ourselves, to live the life that most only dream of. So, we turned an old school bus into our home on wheels, equipped with everything we need to work, live, and explore.
Every day is an adventure, from the sunrises in the Florida Keys to the quiet nights under the stars in the Tennessee mountains. We’ve kayaked in lakes infested with alligators in Florida, hiked the rugged trails of the Rockies, and have taken our tiny home on wheels on a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Each place we visit teaches us something new—about the world, about ourselves, and about the boundless possibilities that life offers.
But this journey isn’t just about seeing the sights; it’s about living a life of intention. It’s about embracing the unexpected, finding joy in the simple things, and connecting with people from all walks of life. We’ve learned to navigate the challenges of life on the road, from mechanical breakdowns to the occasional feeling of homesickness, but every challenge has only made us stronger and more grateful for this life we’ve chosen.
As we continue to explore every corner of the USA, including the rugged beauty of Alaska, we’re already dreaming of the next chapter: venturing into Central and South America. The idea of crossing borders, and experiencing new cultures, and expanding our horizons keeps our wanderlust alive. The world is vast, and our journey has only just begun.
