🚍 Where the Skoolie Takes Us

A Map of Everywhere We’ve Been

There’s something magical about living life on the road, the wide-open skies, the spontaneous detours, and the quiet mornings parked somewhere magical and beautiful, or not! Trust me, we’ve spent quite a few nights at Cracker Barrels, Walmarts, Home Depots, and shopping centers’ parking lots. But the beautiful mornings in those magical places have overcompensated for the not-so-good ones! Since converting our bus, Condor, into a skoolie, we’ve been chasing that magic one mile at a time.

Our journey hasn’t followed a straight line, it’s been more like a colorful web of winding roads, surprise turns, and unforgettable stops. From quiet boondocking, city camping or what I call “caleta” camping to cozy forest hideaways, every place has left its mark on us. And while not every stop makes it into a photo album, we wanted a way to remember and share all the places our wheels have taken us.

This blog post is our living logbook, a visual travel diary where we’re keeping track of most spots we’ve parked, played, and made memories. Whether you’re planning your own skoolie adventure, following along with ours, or just curious where the bus has been, you’ll find it all right here.

We’ll keep updating this map as we go. Thanks for riding along with us. ✨

🗺️ Our Skoolie Travel Map

Caleta = It’s a Peruvian slang word; it means doing something without anyone noticing. We use it when we want to keep something out of public’s eye. It’s a way of saying something is secretive or private, like saying “secretly” or “on the down-low” in English

As a Peruvian, I mix a lot of Peruvian slang with my regular vocabulary. So now if you want to city camp or boondock in a city, busy town, shore town, etc, just say “I’ll be caleta camping in ____”!

Enjoy the road!
